Copyright: Don Pace 		The young individuals on the pedal disk do not develop there by budding, as may be supposed, but originate from eggs fertilized in the digestive cavity. The larvae swim out of the mouth, migrate around to the pedal disc and grow there until they are large enough to leave and feed independently.
